Profile
Goose Island Campground is located 1.4 miles from Highway 191 on Highway 128. The campsites offer spectacular views of the Colorado River and massive red rock cliffs of Arches National Park. Both RV and tent camping are available including 3 walk-in tent-only sites. This campground is popular due to its proximity to town, its shade during the summer, and the beautiful scenery. Campsites are available on a first-come, first served basis.
The Moab Field Office maintains 26 campgrounds for your enjoyment. While we do not take individual campsite reservations, visitors can usually be accommodated at one of our campgrounds. Many of the campgrounds are located close to Arches National Park along the Colorado River. These campgrounds offer views of spectacular red rock cliffs amidst a green ribbon of vegetation.
Several of the campgrounds are particularly suited to even the largest Recreational Vehicles. These RV friendly campgrounds include Goose Island, Big Bend, Hittle Bottom, Goldbar, Horsethief, and Ken’s Lake. Many of our campgrounds feature reservable group sites suitable for gatherings.
Drinking water is not available at most of the campgrounds, however it is available at Lions Park, which is at the intersection of Highways 191 and 128 two miles north of Moab. Some of the campgrounds may be temporarily closed for invasive weed removal throughout the spring and early summer. These closures will be posted at the campgrounds. Camping at all sites is limited to 14 days within a 30-day period.
Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00am. Generator hours are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
